Splendora, TX (KTRK) – A person has died after a lorry collided with a train in the Splendora area, causing the train to derail.
SkyEye hovered over the scene, as at least seven off-track train cars were seen. Video also showed crushed wreckage under the front of the train.
The accident occurred along US 59 North in Midline, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The northbound minor road at Fostoria is closed as crews work to clear up the crash.
The MCSO said the Splendora Police Department is the lead investigative agency.
Officials did not provide further details about the person who was killed.
