Greg Capullo reveals a new take on epic Wolverine art in the works

Famed comic book artist Greg Capullo confirmed last year that he was returning to House of Ideas and was drawing a new project for Marvel Comics. It hasn’t been confirmed exactly which series the fan-favorite artist will be working on, but the latest tease from his social media offers at least a clue. Featured in the photo posted by Capullo is none other than Wolverine. Capullo’s latest tease is another photo of Logan in action, as he reveals to readers that the photo he’s sharing is of him starting right back on the page after taking one swing at it.

“This is a complete reboot of a piece that was on the board today,” he wrote on social media. “An external pressure entered my life today and wreaked havoc on my mind and therefore my art. Take two, you SOB” You can check out his latest teasing on Wolverine below.

It seems like a fair bet to wonder if Capullo’s new book will be the next Wolverine mini-series. The artist previously shared that while he’s happy to work with Marvel again, he has no interest in working on a monthly title; Plus, both of the stunts he’s posted for their new Marvel project feature… Wolverine. Previously speaking with Mark Millar on the Millar Time podcast, where Capullo confirmed for the first time that he’d be returning to Marvel, the artist seemed to hint at a possible retirement on the horizon as well.

“Marvel has been getting close to me forever, I’ve run into CB (Cebulski, Marvel Editor-in-Chief) a lot. They discussed a certain project because I’m 60 now, I don’t want to run it anymore. I’ve told everyone. DC, Marvel, whatever, three To a six issue run and that’s it. I want to do a few things before I put my pencil down. I plan to do a few covers while I’m working on Creech, do a project with Marvel and then what happens next, I’m not sure. Scott and I talked about an original idea I had, Maybe we’ll do something like that at some point.”
