The LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B ($999) is one of the most amazing gaming monitors I’ve seen to date. That’s good news considering I’ve been eager to test it out since LG first announced it in late 2022. My brief hands-on experience with it and the 45in LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B (Opens in a new tab) It also kindled me. After extensive testing, I feel confident saying this is one of the best gaming monitors of 2023.

But what makes the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B so great? It has a rather poor design for a gaming screen. And at 27 inches long, it’s not exactly bulky. What sets it apart is the amazing visual fidelity offered by the 2.5K OLED screen. Games look great on this screen, as does streaming content. Also, an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate provide an immersive gaming experience. The fact that it’s under $1,000 is also a big deal.
