Fortunately, to help you on your travels, you are blessed with the ability to drive and collaborate with buddies. Although Kelvin is the virtual companion you find yourself abandoned with, there is another mysterious character you may have seen throughout your stay in the woods, Virginia Puffton.

Who is Virginia?

Virginia Buffton is the teenage daughter of billionaire Edward Buffton, and is fascinated by ballet and hence its silky gray gowns. It is not known what caused her unusual appearance, although Virginia seems to have experienced some sort of mutation that adds extra limbs to her body that makes her a truly unique character. It is also stated that Virginia does not have natural fingers, instead, they are almost fused and shaped perfectly for ballet. As discovered later in Virginia’s bedroom, Virginia appeared to have normal legs and functioning feet prior to her trip into the woods.

Edward Buffton, Virginia’s father, doted on her regardless. He even left all his possessions to her in his will, leaving nothing for her socialite mother to inherit. Virginia is just one of the 3 people you searched for at the start of the game. Brief information on the laptop can be found in the game’s opening cut scene.

It is possible to spot her walking or running in the woods, sitting on the bank of a body of water, or taking a dip in a waterfall. If the player gets too close to it, it may display a frightened facial expression and attempt to flee. Virginia can be killed by cannibals, mutants, and other players, however, because she does not spawn outside the player’s vicinity, she cannot be killed when the player is not present. If Virginia is not rescued in time, her death will be irreversible, and she will not appear again in the game.

Due to her gentle nature and childish demeanor, if the player attacks Virginia, she will actually develop a proper fear of her and thus refuse to help or be around her.

How do you date Virginia?

Unlike Kelvin, you can’t command her to perform tasks like helping gather resources and so on. However, despite this, Virginia is not someone to be underestimated as she still has a unique skill set. In order for the player to develop a mutual relationship with Virginia, he must first earn her trust and prove that he has no intention of causing her any harm. However, all of the following steps and tips are perfect ways to not only gain confidence but eventually have a worthy and reliable addition to the team.

However, all of the following steps and tips are perfect ways to not only gain confidence but eventually have a worthy and reliable addition to the team. It’s safe to say that the time and effort that goes into traveling and exploring Virginia is well worth it. Once she gains confidence, the player can provide Virginia with various weapons and tools to help them along their journey. Do and repeat the following actions that have been shown to gain her trust and eventually convince her to stay.

Let her eat and drink

Like any other creature in the jungle, Virginia requires food and water to survive. If you witness a virgin stealing harvest from your stock or crops, allow her to do so by proving that you are trustworthy and kind, which will increase your affinity for her.

keep it warm

Virginia can occasionally be seen standing near old fires and campsites, offering a helping hand by lighting a fire for her. Even consider building your own fire. A sure way to win her trust and leave her comfortable.

Let her entertain

Virginia’s lifelong passion is ballet. Since she was a little girl, she has been obsessed with ballet and everything related to it. You can watch Virginia perform and gracefully attempt to perform her ballet routine to perfection. She loves the attention, just make sure you’re unarmed and watch her dance.

protect her

Like Kelvin, Virginia will start marking enemies as soon as she spots them. Killing whatever you initially indicate as a priority has proven to be a useful way and tactic to build trust and companionship between you and mysterious Virginia.

No weapons

Since Virginia is not violent, she is easily shaken when anyone approaches her using any form of weapon. To approach Virginia, the player is strongly advised not to equip his weapon or tool in order to gain her trust and successfully tame her.

The final result

As previously mentioned, there is no set order nor procedure to follow to obtain Virginia as a mate that requires nothing more than patience, time, and perhaps an act or two of kindness. She will start acting less nervous and showing signs of peace, with gestures like thumbs up, dances, etc.

If you consistently display this behavior towards Virginia, she will respect you in a very short period of time and feel comfortable in your company. She will eventually move from being in the background and reluctance to being almost by your side, sleeping near fires, and relying on the goods being harvested. Once she feels comfortable and safe, she will stay by your side for extended periods of time and even bring you resources and food such as fish, berries, and more.

Once tamed, Virginia becomes an invaluable character and is highly recommended to be acquired by all players as she will eventually gain the ability to use weapons and tools and assist the player in defending themselves and their camp throughout the match. She can also mark by giving her a GPS locator. Many women’s clothing can be found through your travels in the game, and this is for you to give Virginia, allowing you to customize her look and keep her outfits appropriate for the season.
