Commando is a creature It relies on a great DC team,” Gunn explained at the same event. What we do with the DCU is we have animation that directly relates to the live-action. TV, movies, and games are intertwined in the same universe. We’re going to cast actors who will be able to play the characters in this as well as other things, some of which we’ve already cast. She has written all seven episodes of the show, and they are in production. So this is my first thing, and I love it.”

Who are Creature Commandos?

Created by Jeff Lemire and Abraham Roberson, Nina Mazursky was a SHADE scientist whose life and marriage fell apart after losing her young daughter to a terminal illness. She created the Creature Commandos, and initially ended up going against the Atom. This first generation of creatures was unstable, and had to be imprisoned in a microscopic prison called The Zoo, but Nina created a second generation of commando creatures, which turned out to be the heroes she now fights with. Including herself in the experiment, she transforms into an amphibious genius in a private suit.
