Houston shooting on rage road: Police say one driver is in critical condition after two people were shot in two separate incidents

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Police reported that two people were shot during two separate rage incidents on Houston roads overnight.

A driver is in critical condition after getting into an argument while leaving Taco Bell near Southwest Interstate.

In a separate incident, another person was shot and wounded after being chased home near T.C. Jester Park on the city’s northwest side, investigators said.

In both road rage incidents, Houston Police Department officers are looking for the shooters, and they are working to find out how the incidents on the road escalated into shootings.

At about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a man was leaving Taco Bell when he got into an argument, according to police.

At one point, Houston police said shots were fired into the back of the victim’s car, hitting him in the chest.

Authorities reportedly found him at the 5100 block of Edloe Street, near the Village at West University Apartments.

The man was taken to hospital in critical condition.

They placed crime scene tape around the entrance to the compound, where the victim’s jeep could be seen.

Investigators are still working out the cause of the controversy and are searching for the shooter.

As this permeated Southwest Houston, in Northwest Houston, officers received another call to fire on the road at West 34th Street.

Police say a man was shot during a roadside shooting after he was pursued in northwest Houston

Police are searching for three suspects after a man was tracked to his home and shot during a road rage incident Saturday morning.

Witnesses and the victim told investigators that an argument began on the road from the 4200 block of West 34th Street between the victim and three suspects.

The suspects reportedly followed the victim to his home in a nearby apartment complex when they started a fistfight.

The fight turned into a gunfight after one of the suspects pulled a gun and wounded the man in the arm, according to police. The shooter reportedly drove off with the group.

Police said he was expected to be fine.

Police said the suspects, a woman and two men, are Hispanic and may have been in a Chevy Impala.

To avoid road rage incidents, the Texas Department of Insurance said you should avoid eye contact with drivers and not respond to aggression with aggression.

Crime Stoppers said it’s best to slow down and walk away from the person, giving them a friendly wave, and even a mouthful, “I’m sorry,” which can go a long way in de-escalating the situation.
