Dunkin’ unveils its new breakfast taco

Dunkin’ has been hoping to celebrate the changing of the seasons with one of its more unique products over the past few months. Wednesday, the coffee shop chain announced the arrival of Dunkin’ Breakfast Tacos, a new limited-time offering from the group. It’s the first time Dunkin’ has released tacos and fans will be able to customize the tacos to their liking. Taco base includes scrambled eggs, white cheddar cheese, and toasted corn. Lime crema then tops the taco and those who purchase can then choose whether or not to include bacon on top.

“Our culinary team expertly designed these breakfast tacos with the vibrancy of spring in mind, providing a taste sensation that can be enjoyed any time of day—not just for breakfast,” said Gil MacVicar-Nelson, Dunkin’ Chief Marketer, in a statement. “These tacos are without a doubt one of the tastiest items we’ve launched at Dunkin’. We’re excited that guests give them a try and discover their new favorite meal to fuel their day, whether they’re looking for a tasty breakfast or afternoon snack.”

Dunkin’ Breakfast Tacos will be available for purchase all day at the restaurant and will not be limited to convenience hours only.

Why did Dunkin’ Dunkaccino cancel?

Breakfast Tacos are entering the menu at the same time as Dunkaccino, a staple at Dunkin’ for the past 20 years. According to a statement from the company, Dunkaccino was removed as part of a new commitment to efficiency.

“While we focus on innovation and finding new ways to delight guests, we are constantly evolving our menu in an effort to deliver a fast, frictionless experience,” Dunkin said in a statement. Dunkaccino is retired at the moment, but there is always a chance he will return in the future.
