Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 cast list hints at return of classic Marvel hero | Movies | entertainment

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is only a few weeks away, but the movie’s plot is still a relative mystery. While the High Evolutionary is the main antagonist, Adam Warlock is another force of nature Star-Lord and his team will have to fight. But they probably don’t do it alone, according to the movie’s cast list.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 introduced a group of older Ravagers for the first time. Not only have these classic characters been used as a way to expel Yondu after his death, but also to expand the Ravager collective in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Some of the biggest Ravagers were shown in a post-credits scene, which revealed Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar along with other aliens, making up the original Guardians of the Galaxy in the Marvel comic books. These alien warriors were originally fighters from the 30th century who fought evil in the comic book multiverse.

In a cameo, Stakar sided with the other major Guardians heroes, including Martinex, Aleta Ogord, Charlie-27, Mainframe, and Krugarr.

And the cast list for Volume 3 hints that classic Marvel heroes are returning.

as pointed out ScreenRantStallone is in the cast list for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. And again, he is rated as Stakar on IMDB.

What’s more, Martinex actor Michael Rosenbaum is also in the cast list. Given that two of the team members are returning, it’s very likely that the rest of the original Guardians will return as well.

One main character likely won’t return: Alita Ogurd, another Captain Ravager.

Alita was played by Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. But since then, Yeoh has taken on a new role in the MCU: Ying Nan, the aunt of the protagonist in Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings.

Considering she’s now taken on a much larger role in the MCU, she probably won’t be playing a space hacker like she once did.

While fans may want to know more about the Ravagers and their return before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 hits cinemas, director James Gunn has already issued a stark warning to Marvel viewers.

Jan recently pointed out that there may be spoilers around the internet leading up to the cinematic release and exercise caution until then.

“It might be wise to be careful what you read on social media starting at the end of April if you want to avoid spoilers for #Vol3,” Jan explained.

He added, “However, I don’t think your enjoyment of the film will be greatly diminished by your familiarity with it.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 hits theaters May 5th.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 are now available to stream on Disney Plus.
