Houston, Texas (KTRK) – There are three deadlock alerts we want you to be aware of before your weekend plans slow down.
The first is for those in or traveling to League City, Webster, and Galveston Island.
Crews will begin closing the southern lanes of I-45 between FM 528 and State Highway 96 Friday night. It’s not a complete shutdown, but drivers can expect more congestion.
To get around this, drivers can use State Highway 3.
Also happening Friday night, workers will shut down the Katy Freeway connector eastbound to the West Loop and 290. You can turn at Silber and take the byways.
It must reopen by late Saturday.
And in the northern loop, drivers can expect a slowdown on the Eastex motorway as all major eastbound lanes will be closed until commutes on Monday morning.
