While Ash Ketchum and Pikachu are saying goodbye for now, there is a possibility that we might see the popular anime duo return in the future. Series director Kunihiko Yuyama has stated that there is always the possibility of the duo returning to the series, though when and how is another story entirely. Having achieved his goal of becoming a Pokemon World Champion, Ash Ketchum may one day become a Pokemon Master as well.
