Renewed AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C Charging Case may arrive later this year

Apple’s best wireless earbuds are set to get even better with the new USB-C Wireless Charging Case.

If you are a fan of Apple products, you have probably heard the news that Apple is going to switch to USB-C for its upcoming iPhones. Of course, if you’re a die-hard fan of the Lightning connector, this isn’t good news, but for most people out there, this could become a really exciting time, providing one common charging system for not only all smartphones, but most of Apple’s popular products as well. While just switching the iPhone to USB-C is great, it looks like things could get better, with a new report sharing that Apple could be preparing to launch a revised version of the AirPods Pro 2 that feature a USB-C charging port.

Not only do the best wireless earbuds for iOS users get better, but we could get our hands on them sometime this year. The news comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who shares that a USB-C version of the AirPods Pro 2 will debut this year. He goes on to say that these new earbuds should arrive sometime in the second or third quarter of 2023. If Apple releases new earbuds, it will be less than a year since the original release of the AirPods Pro 2. -C variants of the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 is not in the cards yet.

While it’s hard to believe that Apple would bring more improvements to the earphones besides the change to USB-C, there’s always the possibility that it could bring smaller updates like improvements to audio or battery life. Of course, we don’t have those details right now, but it would be nice to have a few more improvements, along with the new port. But, if you’re not at all interested in the upcoming model, you can always pick up the current models for the bargain.
