One place open to players who can help strategize is the Fortune Teller. This feature is essential if you want to increase your bond of support among all characters. This feature makes it very easy to obtain these battle rewards from enslaved units.

What is a fortune teller?

Fire Emblem Engage Fortune Teller-1

The fortuneteller is Seadall’s character. It allows you to see which units are best suited next to each other in battle. When you understand this, you will be able to strengthen the bonds of your units faster.

The stronger the bond, the better the two would be in battle together. If two units with high support ranks stand next to each other during battle, they will receive special bonuses that are not available otherwise. These bonuses may increase stats such as hit chance, avoidance, critical chance, and dodge. Rewards vary by units and the order they are supported.

The Fortune Teller differs from other features of Somniel because can be missed in play. In Chapter 15, you will encounter the character Seadall. If you don’t interact with him during battle, you won’t recruit him. If you interact with Seadall during this chapter, he will set up a Fortune Teller in The Somniel when you return. However, you can only use Fortune Teller if night falls.

When you approach Seadall, he will ask you if you want him to read your fortune. Next, you must select the module that you want to work on linking to the other modules. then, Seadall will tell you who this unit is thinking of, which means who will link up the fastest during the next battle. The more you use this feature, the faster the units will link to each other. After increasing their bond, you’ll see a huge shift in how well your team works together during battles.
