John Wick 5 News Plus Ballerina and The Continental Version Updates | Movies | entertainment

Warning: Spoiler for John Wick: Chapter 4 onwards. John Wick: Chapter 4 set a weekend record with $137.5 million worldwide. This arguably makes it the second-highest-grossing Keanu Reeves movie of all time behind The Matrix Revolutions’ $201.4 million.

However, at the end of the new movie, John Wick appears to have died from a gunshot wound, as the final scene shows his grave next to his wife. But is it fake? Perhaps that decision was based on how well Chapter 4 did at the box office. And according to Lionsgate, Reeves’ killer isn’t going away anytime soon.

said the studio’s motion picture group chief Joe Drake Delivery time Today: “We’re not ready to say goodbye to Keanu with this franchise. That’s the alternative that’s going to be there. There’s a lot of different things we could do. I’ve watched this movie five times in the last week. I can see the way it’s moving the audience.”

By the sounds, Lionsgate will be planning to revive Reeves’ murderer for John Wick: Chapter 5. But in the meantime, the star is already wrapped up in spin-off The Ballerina, which takes place in the six-month gap between Seasons 3 and 4.

Ana de Armas is the titular star bent on revenge on her family’s killers. According to Lionsgate, the prequel movie — which also stars the late Lance Reddick as Charon — will be released in spring or summer 2024.

Meanwhile, the three-part miniseries The Continental is likely to premiere in fall 2023. The 1970s prequel follows Young Winston and features Mel Gibson in a mystery role.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is now available in cinemas.
