Dead Island 2 release date, time, and Xbox Game Pass availability

We’re almost 24 hours away from the release of Dead Island 2, which is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S and PC on Friday. Developed by Dambuster Studios, the highly anticipated sequel takes players to the apocalyptic streets of Los Angeles, or as the developers have called it… HELL-A.


Set 10 years after the events of the first game, Dead Island 2 takes players to California, where the government has instituted strict quarantine guidelines after an even more deadly outbreak. However, our main protagonist discovers that they are immune to the virus, thus we begin our adventure in Dead Island 2. Dead Island 2 release date and time

Dead Island 2 will be released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on Friday 21st April. Keep in mind that Dead Island 2 will not be released on Steam, which means that the Epic Games Store is the only platform for PC gamers to purchase the game. As for the exact release time of Dead Island 2, this will vary depending on the platform you choose.

the PlayStation Store page Dead Island 2 states that the game will be released at midnight local time on April 21, while Microsoft Store page Indicates the release time of 2 PM Pacific Time or 4 PM local time. For PC users, the Epic Games Store, unfortunately, does not detail the exact release time of Dead Island 2.

Players can now pre-order the Standard Edition of the game for $59.99 on all supported platforms. The Deluxe and Gold versions will also be $75 and $90, respectively.

Dead Island 2 preload details

Xbox users have been able to pre-load Dead Island 2 since April 3; PlayStation and PC users had to wait until April 19 to download the game before it was launched globally. Will Dead Island 2 be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Dead Island 2 will not be available on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass, which means that players will have to purchase the game to immerse themselves in the pure excitement of the streets of Los Angeles. However, Dead Island 2 may not come to Game Pass on day one, but that doesn’t mean it won’t join the service in the future. But at the time of writing, there has been no official announcement about the game’s arrival on Microsoft’s popular service.
