Friendswood, TX (KTRK) – Friendswood residents sleep with one eye open after security cameras caught a young man trespassing and peeping through the windows of a retired couple’s home.
He did not attempt the break-in, but his brazen behavior on their property left the couple concerned enough to call Friendswood Police and alert their neighbors.
“I felt very threatened,” said the homeowners, who refused to show their faces.
Their security camera footage shows a young man looking through a side window as they sleep around 12:15 a.m. on April 20.

They said, “The lights we were turning on didn’t deter him. He didn’t try to hide his face or his looks. He wasn’t bent over. He walked here as if he were his own. He had no fear.”
They do not know who this person is, and the Friendswood police have not identified him.
Although he didn’t try to get into their home, they said they worried he might be coming out in their place next time.

If he returns, he will watch over the community along Myrtlewood. Neighbors are described as interdependent, and everyone on the street has a video copy emailed to them.
They said “that was the first thing I did”. “I sent it to my next door neighbor, and then I turned around and sent it to another neighbor who ran the neighborhood email system. Then I sent it to everyone.”
The homeowners have notified Friendswood police, who are asking for help identifying the suspect.
Meanwhile, the pair add additional cameras and upgrade their security system, hoping to find this person before they can return to their property.
