Houston, Texas (KTRK) – An investigation is still ongoing after an Uber driver was shot and his car was stolen in southwest Houston on Saturday night.

According to HPD, the accident occurred on the 2900 block of Trail Lake Drive.
Preliminary information is scant, but police say the man was shot in the leg by at least one suspect, and then took off with the vehicle.
Police reported that officers found the Uber driver’s car just one block away at 2800 Street from the Knotty Oaks Trail.
The man was taken to hospital, where his condition is unknown.
Police did not immediately provide a description of the suspect.
This incident is the fourth or fifth burglary with the same motive that occurred over the past week, according to the Department of Public Health.
