Anthem took less than a year and a half to make, says the developer

National anthemis one of BioWare’s newest games, and was produced in less than a year and a half. BioWare is one of the best developers in the business because they are responsible for some of the greatest RPGs of all time. Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Dragon Age were all courtesy of this great studio, but the team has had some falls from grace. after Dragon Age: InquisitionBioWare has moved on to making Mass Effect: Andromeda And a new and ambitious IP address known as National anthem Which was basically the studio’s answer to something like Saucepan. However, it was a very big disaster.

The game was riddled with issues at launch, lacked any kind of meaningful content, and was generally boring. Support for the game dropped fairly quickly and player numbers plummeted. Many praised the core gameplay mechanics as the Iron Man-esque fly, but it was clear that this game wasn’t the start of the franchise that EA likely had hoped for. It turns out that part of this is because the game was done way too quickly. A lot of AAA games nowadays take anywhere from 3 to 5 years to make, if not longer, however National anthem It was made in less than a year and a half according to a developer. On Twitter, former BioWare employee Ian Saterdalen revealed this National anthem It was made in about 15 months, which is a very short amount of time for any AAA game, let alone a game from this massive studio for a new IP that was supposed to be a direct service game.

It’s unclear what led to such a rushed schedule, but it’s clear that this is a game that could have been exponentially better with more time. probably National anthem Dead and gone, especially since BioWare is now doing more of Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The latter is expected to launch at least fairly soon, but who knows when it will see the light of day.
