“It’s crazy. I think the interesting thing about this movie is trying to develop a really strong identity that just feels like this movie. I don’t do that; I didn’t want to write a score that looked like any other superhero movie, and they didn’t want to make a movie that looked like any other superhero movie,” Pemberton told us. “So we’ve been trying to rewrite the rules from day one. So where you’d think the first movie was rewriting the rules, this movie expands that rulebook. We’re trying to create this crazy audiovisual universe that looks different than anything else out there.”
