Survival Ascended Confirms Xbox Release Date And Time

Following its PC release last month, Studio Wildcard has confirmed the official release date and launch time for Ark: Survival Ascended on Xbox consoles. The studio also shed further light on the PlayStation release, hitting fans with another setback.

According to the recent announcement, Ark: Survival Ascended is now targeting an early December launch on PlayStation consoles. “While we have been targeting a late November launch, today we’ve encountered some issues which will require additional time”, Studio Wildcard said. The studio ended its statement by saying that it “anticipates a PS5 launch date in early December” and will provide further updates as progress is made.

But it’s good news for Xbox users, as there are only a few hours left to go until Ark: Survival Ascended is released on Xbox Series X|S. To get you ready for its launch, here’s everything you need to know.

Unfortunately, there are currently no details surrounding pre-loading, so Xbox users will be required to download the full game once it is released later today. Users wanting to jump into the action on Xbox can visit the official Xbox Store store page.

Ark: Survival Ascended, which is an Unreal Engine 5 remaster of Studio Wildcard’s original title, Ark: Survival Evolved, was finally released for PC back in October but launched to mixed reviews from players. Currently, there are over 27,000 reviews, resulting in a “mixed” review badge on Steam. Players cite “trash” optimization as one of the key factors for Ascended’s negative reviews.

The remaster has faced multiple delays and setbacks since being announced. Whilst PlayStation users are still left with uncertainty, Xbox users were also being passed from pillar to post until today. Ascended was due to launch on Xbox Series X|S last week, Tuesday, November 14th, but Studio Wildcard once again delayed the release by a week due to “some unexpected issues” with the certification process.

Xbox users can now rejoice, however, as the game will finally be released later today. PlayStation users will need to stay tuned for further updates.
