How To Get New Guns

Powerful weapons are your first (and last) defense in Helldivers 2. This guide details every weapon in the game and how to unlock them all.

Helldivers 2 features a number of ways for you to put the hurt on the enemies of Democracy. Whenever you set out on a mission, you’ll want to ensure your primary weapon, secondary weapon, grenade, and Stratagems are exactly what you’ve got in mind for the mission at hand. Some of these tools of war, like the Stratagems, are unlocked at the Ship Management console, under the Stratagems tab. Others, like the Primary, Secondary, and Grenade weapon slots, are acquired elsewhere.

I’m tired of seeing the same meta loadouts, but nerfs aren’t the answer.

You’ll start with a few default weapon options: AR-23 Liberator (Primary), P-2 Peacemaker (Secondary), and G-12 High Explosive (Grenade). Other than these defaults, you’ll acquire new weapons almost exclusively through the Acquisition Center’s Warbonds tab using your Medals (though there are several Stratagems that summon Support Weaponry as well). This guide will detail each weapon in the game and how you can add them all to your arsenal.
