The Magick Archer is one of the best Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but it’s very difficult to figure out how to unlock it. Let us be your guide.

One of the side quests given to you by Captain Brant will be The Nameless Village. This quest will set you on a path to obtain Darragh’s Bill of Arrest and will also be a means of obtaining Dragon’s Gaze.

Finding The Nameless Village

Once you meet Captain Brant at the Stardrop Inn, selecting different dialog options will act as different precursors for different quests. If you select “Tell me of the queen regent” then you will obtain the main quest, “Disa’s Plot”. You will get similar results for selecting other options. However, in order to start the quest for The Nameless Village, you will need to select “Tell me of the false Sovran”

The Nameless Village lies to the east of Vernworth, and will take a while to travel there on foot. If you try to head there along the roads, you will come to a blockade, with seemingly no way around it. Above you will find some images to help navigate you in how to get to The Nameless Village from Vernworth.

  1. In the first image, you will travel northeast from Vernworth, and follow the road until you reach the red circle.
  2. In the second image, you will now travel east, which will bring you to a bridge — cross over this bridge. Once the main road starts to turn left, you will go off trail and find a Campsite where the map has a red “2”.
  3. You can keep heading east to pass through the Eastern Forest. Keep traveling east and you will be able to get back onto the main road.
  4. Keep following the main Road eastward and you will arrive at the Nameless Village.

Once you are in The Nameless Village, you can keep following the road without making any turns to arrive at the Old Nobel Manner. This is where you will find an NPC that will progress the quest.

Darragh’s Bill Of Arrest

Dragon's Dogma 2 Arrest Bill

Head inside the Old Noble Manner and head straight to find an NPC named Flaude. Just like with Captain Brant, you will want to speak with them about the False Sovran. Expend all the dialog with Flaude and then leave the way you came. Go down the stairs and follow the trail that does right. You will pass by a bench and will follow the path to a large chasm in the ground with a ladder.

Make your way down to receive a cutscene that will show an obstacle course you will need to clear. This course consists of two parts, but if you fall, there are ladders present to attempt them again. The obstacles are not hard to understand and will be more a matter of how well you can react.

There will be wooden boards that can be teetered by standing on one of the ends. Whichever side you stand on will be pushed down, while the other will be pushed up. You will simply need to shift your wait until the side you want is slightly higher than where you need it. Then proceed to run up the board and jump to the next one. The second part of this obstacle course has sturdy points as well as these boards, but also swinging obstacles that will knock you down if you are hit by them. You simply need to time your jumps, and you will have no trouble.

After clearing both parts, you will find a wooden door you can go through. Through this door will be a room with several NPCs, as well as some dialog triggered by Srail. Once the dialog stops, you can look around the room, but in order to progress the quest you will need to approach and speak with Srail. Just like previous NPCs, you will want to expand all the dialog relating to the False Sovran.

Afterward, you will get the items, “Darragh’s Bill of Arrest” and “Pilferer’s Handbook” and be able to head back to the Stardrop Inn at Vernworth to speak with Captain Brant. Select “Tell me of the false Sovran” and give him the Bill of Arrest.
