I’ve seen a lot of comments online lately about Strong woman, especially as it’s “horrible” and “one of the worst shows” from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. Again, these are the comments I’ve seen online fans from MCU. But did you know? Much like how people hate eternityEven though it’s my favorite Marvel movie right now, Strong woman It is now my favorite show from the MCU, by far.
Honestly, it was too annoying to see the memes Strong woman And Megan Thee Stallion Drop it like it’s hot as a reason for Why She-Hulk was “awful,” but the cool thing about the show is that he was totally convinced by the fact that online trolls would have complained about things like that. Hell, they’ve shown the same scene over and over again in summaries, almost as a way to catch trolls. This is just one of the reasons why I loved the show so much. Here are five more!
Oh, spoilers ahead.
Stayed consistently good the whole time and really stuck to landing by the end
You know, one thing I don’t really like about Marvel TV shows is that they’re, for the most part, not always good. I had this problem with WandaVisionwho am I lovable In the first four episodes, but the thought collapsed towards the end, and he felt it too The Hawk and the Winter Soldier The epilogue, which went down so hard that our Nick Venable wrote an entire article about the 10 biggest problems at the end. to hell moon knightwhich I mostly liked, he also had at least two things that I really didn’t like about it.
But, Strong woman He was always great the whole time. I was never afraid of “having” to watch a weekly episode, as I wanted to listen to it every Thursday. At no time did the fourth wall breaks feel uncomfortable, but rather an integral part of the show (especially in the Madness season finale). In no time did I get bored, or wanted to watch something else instead. In fact, not since then loki Did you really invest this in a Marvel TV show, not even loki This got me excited. I love every second of it!
You have used the guest appearance very effectively
Second, can we all agree that Wong is the best player in the MCU? In fact, I would say that all the guest Marvel characters are there Strong woman, from Daredevil to Abomination, were welcome additions and made the show so much better. In fact, some of the show’s best moments were Emile Blonsky’s transition into the new era, and Jane Walter’s reaction to it.
Really, there were only three major looks in the MCU with Wong, Abomination, and Daredevil, but every single one of those looks was golden and hilarious. From Wong’s fondness for watching great TV, to Daredevil’s “Walk of Shame” down Jen’s building after a heated affair, guests didn’t feel like a guest like they sometimes do in these Marvel shows and movies. Hell, even newcomer Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim) stole the show as Wong’s now girlfriend who has a Y in her name (but not where you’d think). Honestly, She-Hulk loved herself, but the guest appearances were just as star-studded as the show.
It was funny, and it wasn’t as cliched as some of the other Marvel projects tend to be
Is it just me, or are Marvel shows and movies getting more and more cliched these days? Among the embarrassing “humour” Thor: Love and ThunderTo the bad jokes lately Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madnessThe humor out of Marvel has been quite unbearable lately. It’s so compelling, I can’t stand it anymore.
But, Strong woman Legitimally it made me laugh, and on multiple occasions. From everyone always dumping Jen (Poor Jen!), even when she’s a She-Hulk and can lift a metric ton, to namaste stand-in Emil Blonsky, to Wong always getting in and out of Kamar-Taj whenever he gets into legal trouble, the show has kept the humor coming And he never calmed down or made me wish they’d stop with the jokes already. For a show that’s supposed to be comedy is actually funny, well, that’s one show Strong woman surely.
something mortal Perhaps her greatest strong suit was the fact that she already had something to say. I’m not saying he had anything unprecedented or philosophical to think about. This is not a wonderful thesis of Kierkegaard. no, instead, Strong woman I decided to focus on and identify all the people (mostly men), who seemingly dedicate their lives to hating programs and movies aimed at children (such as star Wars). She’s also addressed toxic masculinity, and how gross it can be, making it a point to feature in all of Jane Walters, and the She-Hulk’s many encounters with terrible men.
But, I think the most interesting commentary that might have been on the show was on the MCU itself, which was shown in full in the season finale, where Jane literally faced off against an artificial intelligence that was supposed to be Kevin Feige. I can dig deeper into this, but something mortal The season had so much fun about how the MCU had gotten so old lately that I was shocked that they managed to get away with it. It makes me have a newfound respect for the powers that be in Marvel to actually listen to what fans have to say… and make fun of the MCU at the same time. Bold move, Marvel. Really bold move.
It really got me interested in the MCU again even after a great deal of interest
I recently wrote an article about why I got off the Marvel hype train, and yes, I totally got off when I watched Thor: Love and ThunderIt is, in my opinion, the worst movie ever to come out of the MCU. Worse than Thor: The Dark WorldAnd that says something. I think the latest sequel is emblematic of everything I haven’t liked lately in the current MCU. She’s trying hard, it’s not funny, she’s trying to force another new character down our throats to fatten up the MCU roster (Hercules).
But, Strong woman It completely brought me back to the MCU by subverting all of my expectations of what would become the MCU. Strong woman He was not trying to expand the MCU. You weren’t trying to be a huge, explosive series. Instead, it was his little thing that was fairly confident in what he wanted to be, and that’s a ridiculous, dead, lawyer show with superheroes in it. In this way it succeeded on all fronts.
And these are just five reasons why I love Strong woman. Honestly, there’s a lot I can learn about this show, but I’ll end there for now. For more news on all things Marvel, be sure to swing by here often!
