Wooper’s new, evolved shape was inspired by one of Spain’s strangest lizard species. The regional Paldean variant of Wooper is a distinctly brown version of the familiar amphibious Pokémon. Unlike the regular version of Wooper, which is a Water/Ground-type Pokemon, Paldean Wooper is a Poison/Ground-type. It also evolves into a completely new Pokémon – Clodsire, which is described as a “Spiny Fish” Pokémon.
