Kieron Gillen, the Eisner Award-nominated comic book writer who created Black Krrsantan with artist Salvador Larroca, recently explained how to pronounce the name Wookiee (K-rur! san-tan). In another recent post, Gillen shared his funny working name for the character when he was making it.
Gillen revealed, “I swear this is no joke. I just got back to my first draft of Darth Vader 1. My Black Krrsantan working name was Newbacca.” “Honestly, going back to my first drafts and finding working names for all of my characters can be a fun exercise. There’s a lot of searching and replacing as I move on to finish the script.”
