Early feedback from Moon Knight suggests it’s Marvel Studios’ darkest project yet, and even Marvel boss Kevin Feige says fans of at least one iconic horror franchise will be big fans of the Doctor Strange sequel.
With this color shift, as well as news of imminent Werewolf By Night on the way, it’s clear that Marvel Studios is getting closer than ever to offering an entire horror slate in its own right. Could it even include one of Marvel’s most famous live-action characters?
Oscar Isaac is busier than ever when it comes to journalism, and in a recent interview, the actor provided the perfect setup for the Midnight Suns. In it, he included Ghost Rider and The Punisher, both of whom were either on set or featured as part of the set in viral artwork. The third name Isaac, who was specifically given the pseudonym, is a daredevil.
While Daredevil found himself a part of Marvel’s Marvel Knights lineup in the late ’90s, this brand focused largely on street-level characters rather than ones that juggle the supernatural. On top of that, the MCU already has Daredevil in place thanks to the return of Matt Murdock from Charlie Cox in the Spider-Man: There is no room for home.
whether Isaac’s comments were a Freudian slip that has yet to be seen, moon knight Show director Jeremy Slater says it should have been a goal to make the character an avenger.
“The honest answer is I don’t know,” Slater tells the magazine. “because [Marvel boss] Kevin [Feige] He is the man who decides all of those things. Look, if it were up to me, he’d be part of the Avengers. It’s absolutely not up to me, but I think that’s the point! “
