Instagram has finally brought back a popular feature after backlash and criticism. Unfortunately, Resurrection is not a carbon copy of the previous feature. This news comes in the manner of the official Instagram account on Twitter, which shared with its 34 million followers today, that time feeds are back after they were inexplicably removed. This is great news for the many who criticized the social media platform when they removed the timeline feeds. Well, it would be great news if the feature is restored as it was before it was removed. This does happen though. In the second part of the tweet relaying this news, Instagram notes that the feature has been split into “two new timeline views,” and you need to tap “Instagram” in the top left of the app to switch between “Favorites” and “Next.” In other words, it is not the default and cannot be made the default, which means you need to repeat this step every time you open the app.
As you’d expect, Instagram users mingle with the news. Many users of the social media platform are excited to see this option return, while others are unhappy with the fact that chronological order is still not the default.
We heard you loud and clear – Chrono is back! đ¨

âWhy isnât the default option âcontinueâ. I have to click it every time I open the app? What the hell is thatâ top reply for the tweet above. He added, “Just came here to see if anyone else thinks the same. So stupid. Like anyone who would keep going and clicking on it only to see the repetition, they messed up Instagram,” he added. Another comment in the agreement.
As always, we will keep you updated as more information is made available. At the time of publication, it is worth noting that several users have reported not seeing the respective feature in their app yet, despite downloading the latest update. It’s unclear why this happened, as Instagram has yet to respond to these reports. If this changes, we will update the story accordingly.
