Professional director and director Kevin Smith has always been up to the action figure game, and the “inaction” characters in Viewaskew’s films were a highlight of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Even with his other toys in the world, he had never seen him on this scale before. Smith took to social media to reveal a picture of him alongside a huge Funko Pop! About himself as Silent Bob alongside, of course, the huge Jay character as well. The writer/director is set to reprise his role once again on the big screen with the upcoming third clerksmarking his ninth appearance in one of his films as a character.

The official release date for Smith’s Clerks III has yet to be confirmed, but the director has been providing regular updates about the post-production process as it approaches. The latest update came in early February when Smith confirmed that the movie was “hours away” from completion at the time with the final VFX shots wrapping up.
The images on the screen may appear to be from clerks But they are actually a wonderful re-creation of the past as seen in Clerks III! Smith wrote on Instagram. We’re done with the audio mix third clerks @ugosound at #burbank yesterday, @learan back east in NYC at @goldcrestpostny, to put the finishing touches on the last few vfx shots that @armenvfx and encore_vfx have saved our ass with. That means we’re hours away from completely finishing up #clerks3. At this time last year, it was just a second draft of the script. One year later, we deliver a final movie to lionsgate. And to thank them for giving me money to go back to quickstopgroceries, I’m giving them my best ever.”
