Playground Games announced the next big games Forza Horizon 5 Update. The update won’t arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC until March 29th, but before Playground Games’ release, patch notes for the update revealed everything it’s doing. And modernization does not only do a lot, but does some notable things as well. For example, it adds two new gameplay features and introduces some of the requests players have received since its launch.
Some of these smaller features include the addition of a HUD for cars with the Race Mode type function to support the new Drivetrain shift mode on the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Meanwhile, a new low-resolution world grid has been added to improve the visuals when pieces of the world are falling from high altitudes such as when using Gravity Action. These are the smaller features though.
The biggest is the addition of a new progression system that includes “badges,” which players unlock through gameplay. The feature teased by the headline is the addition of Custom Racing to the Horizon Open, which will allow players to find races for their chosen racing discipline and PI class.
Not all of this has been published in the game yet, and it won’t be available until March 29th. Exactly on March 29th, it doesn’t mention Playground Games, but we’ll make sure to let you know when we know.
