Poison Ivy writer says fans will be thrilled with Harley Quinn’s romance

Poison Ivy has gone from being just a Batman villain to one of the most complex characters in Gotham City. The animated series Harley Quinn and recent developments in the Batman Universe have cemented a romantic relationship between Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, to the delight of the duo’s loyal fan base. Harley Quinn has starred in her own solo series, but Poison Ivy gets one from writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Marcio Takara. The six-issue series was announced as part of DC’s Pride celebration, and is supposed to keep Harley-Ivy fans happy as their romance progresses.

“This is a love story in many ways,” Wilson said. Entertainment Weekly. “I feel like that doesn’t give much to donate because it says so on the first page of the book. So I think fans of the Harley-Ivy romance will be delighted, because I think there’s no doubt that her relationship with Harley is now the central and defining one for this character.” Evolution, it evolved from being a straight-up villain whose only job is to frustrate Batman for someone who has her own identity, her own story, her own individual relationships with other people in the House of Poetry completely independent of Batman and the Bat family. I think that’s really cool.”

Wilson added, “Both have been through a lot. They both had to suffer being manipulated by people they trusted, and that shaped a lot of their background, but neither of them wanted to shape their future. I think they both are actively trying to break past toxic relationships, and so They see really similar souls in each other. There’s just a certain chemistry between them that I don’t think anyone would necessarily expect, and that’s what makes them a Hazard.”

Ron Funches, who voted King Shark on Harley Quinn, promises more romance for Poison Ivy in season 3. “I think people really fell in love with it and the fact that they got together near the end of the season is a beautiful thing and watching them grow up together as a relationship, I guess, is what you’ll see a lot in next season,” Funchz explained.
