Doctor reveals new look in Spring Special

The BBC has released a new look at The Doctor’s Legend of the Sea Demons that will bring the classic monsters back to Doctor Who. “Legend of the Sea Demons” is the second of the last three episodes of Jodi Whitaker. Sea devils are aquatic creatures that first appeared in 1972 Doctor from The series “Sea Devils” is a confrontation against the Third Doctor of John Bertwey. Their TV appearance “Legend of the Sea Devils” will be their first since 1984 Doctor from The series “Warriors of the Deep” stars Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor. You can see new photos of Sea Demons, Dr. Yaz and Madame Cheng below.

According to the BBC, “The Legend of Sea Demons” sees Dr (Jodie Whitaker), Yaz (Mandeep Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) travel to China in the 19th century. They find a small coastal village under the threat of pirate queen Madame Cheng (Crystal Yu) and the brutal alien force unleashed upon her unbeknownst to her. The Doctor and her companions will have to confront sea demons to save the planet.

“Legend of Sea Demons” is Whitaker’s penultimate adventure as the Doctor. You’ll say goodbye and find her in the fall during Doctor from Special to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the BBC.

“In 2017, I opened my adorable gift box of size 13 shoes,” Whitaker said in a statement. “I wouldn’t have guessed the wonderful adventures, the worlds and wonders I was seeing in them. My heart is full of love for this show, for the team that made it, for the fans who watch it and what he brought into my life. And I can’t thank Chris enough for crediting me with his wonderful stories. We knew we wanted to ride this wave. Side by side, moving the wand together. So here we are, weeks away from turning around the best job I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to articulate what this role gave me. I’ll carry the Doctor and the lessons I learned forever.”

She continued, “I know change can be scary and none of us know what’s out there. That’s why we keep looking. We hope the universe surprises you. Constantly.”
