The Xbox Series X supposedly has a hidden system clock issue that is making Xbox games run slower. The bad thing about this issue is that unless you have two Xbox Series X controllers, and unless you use both fairly regularly, you’ll probably never know about this problem. Because of this, it is currently impossible to determine the extent of the problem, assuming the report is accurate and that there really is a problem on the console side of things rather than the user side of things.
The warning claims that if you turn off the system clock timing on your Xbox Series X, your games will run five percent slower. The problem was discovered while comparing the input timings to the . format The fifteenth king of fighters Between the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The PS5 version was counting more frames than the slow Xbox Series X when pressing and releasing buttons. This prompted a Reddit user to test between two Xbox Series X consoles, and that’s when they noticed the discrepancy between the two, as the one with the correct watch had the same results as the PS5.
“My normal Xbox Series X displays 60 fps and 60 Hz. The slower XSX returns 63 fps and 63 Hz. This corresponds to the slow clock. The FPS calculating function will count more frames if the time is running slower,” The warning reads.
The warning continues:
“I picked it up while comparing input timing between the PlayStation and Xbox Series X versions of The fifteenth king of fighters. PS ports count more frames than slow XSX when buttons are pressed and released. I was about to expose SNK to a buggy XSX port until I tested it with a regular XSX. The normal numbers of XSX and PS ports were identical. “
So what happened? Well, after a series of tests, a Reddit user concluded that their system clock was drifting by two minutes every forty minutes.

They could also be the only person who has this problem. On the contrary, this could be a huge problem with Xbox Series X that affects countless Xbox gamers, all of whom are completely unaware of the problem.
