Today, reports from Japan have revealed the outcome of the ongoing legal struggles that one of the manga’s creators is facing. Kenya Suzuki, creator please tell me! jaeko chanaccused of possessing child pornography. It was also found that the artist had violated customs laws by the Nagoya District Court.
The update comes months after authorities arrested Suzuki. At that time, the artist was suspected of importing magazines prepared by the German Nudist Organization. These magazines included “photos of naked children from abroad, which you can’t get in Japan,” Suzuki put it in his own words.
This contraband was found in conjunction with “nude photos of little girls” that Suzuki had purchased from an auction site. During the investigation conducted by the authorities, the artist said that his purchases were legal when conducting their transactions, but that they have since been banned.
However, police say the items were purchased between 2020 and 2021, and Japan did not change the legality of minors’ pornography during that time period. This evidence against Suzuki escalated as his trial date approached, and prosecutors were able to secure a prison sentence of one year and two months for the artist.
After this sentence, Suzuki released a statement admitting his mistake.
