The Crow Reboot is revived with Bill Skarsgard

the crow Looks like he’ll finally come back from the dead The Hollywood Reporter It is revealed that a new adaptation of the comedy is moving forward with Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven. Rupert Sanders, who introduced the masses Snow White and the Hunter And the ghost in bowlis set to direct the image from a screenplay by Zack Palin, who recently wrote the Academy Award nominee King Richard. There is no release date currently, but the project is said to head into production this summer, with the outlet noting that the project is deep in pre-production and will have a production budget in the $50 million range.

This news is sure to attract mixed reactions from audiences, with some surely going to be excited to see the franchise fly, while others will be disappointed that the new spin on the material will recreate the story of the original comic and the 1994 movie.

The story centered on Draven, who was resurrected from the dead a year after he and his wife were murdered by a local gang, with supernatural abilities that allow him to exact revenge on his tormentors. Subsequent stories and cinematic series used the otherworldly spirit of “The Crow” to allow other characters to return from the dead while seeking justice.

Brandon Lee starred as Dravin in the original film, and tragically died after a set accident. The project was destined to be Lee’s star turn, as the film continued to earn an emotional cult following. The film had three sequels, though none of them were able to capture the charm and appeal of the first installment.

In recent years, a variety of reports have surfaced about a potential revival, with stars such as Bradley Cooper and Tom Hiddleston both names rumored to be in talks for the role. The biggest advance was the reboot, however, with Jason Momoa to star, from the nun Director Corinne Hardy. Unfortunately, despite Momoa’s star power, the project still failed to leave the nest and was canceled.

Although this iteration has been cancelled, it is possible, with the momentum behind this endeavor, that Hardy and Momoa will meet to present this story sometime in the future.

“It’s a story that I love and I stick to and I put three and a half years, four years of life and love and blood and sweat and tears and I have a lot of material, so I don’t know if one day… I suppose I really don’t want to show them because I still think there will be Crowe at some point, but we’ll see,” Hardy confirmed with ComicBook.com last year. “I think both of the original James O’Bear Crowe The graphic novel and subsequent other iterations of that character in the comic books, there’s no reason not to do much with that character, and the concept of the raven and the legends of the raven and the tone and what it represents are still unique to the world we are in right now.”

Stay tuned for details the crow.
