A handful of Call of Duty games have appeared on Xbox Game Pass. Earlier this year, Microsoft announced its intention to buy Activision Blizzard, the publisher and owner of franchises such as Call of Duty. Once this happens, Microsoft will have full ownership of the beloved FPS series and will be allowed to do as they please. It could make Call of Duty an Xbox exclusive, but Microsoft has suggested that it will keep the series on PlayStation, at least for the foreseeable future. It appears that major changes to the series have already begun under Activision, although it appears to have nothing to do with the Microsoft deal since the tech giant has no say in what Activision does until the deal is closed. Call of Duty is said to be out for a year in 2023, which is expected to be after the deal is finalised.
With that said, it doesn’t look like there will be any shortage of Call of Duty games for people to play. Twitter User ModernWarzone It mentioned that a handful of Call of Duty games appeared on the Xbox Game Pass page, although none of them were accessed via the service. However, this may indicate that Microsoft is about to add some games to the service soon or discount them through the service. Regardless of whether this is just a glitch or an early listing, most, if not all, Call of Duty games are expected to be on Xbox Game Pass in the future. Microsoft will probably want to brag about their subscription service as much as possible with this deal and what better way to achieve that than by putting the biggest FPS franchise out there.

It’s also possible that future Call of Duty games will arrive on Xbox Game Pass on day one, just like Microsoft’s other first-party titles.
