The Final Stroke will soon be out with its release in theaters across Japan later this month. Kyoto Animation has announced that the Grand Final for Free! The Iwatobi Swim Club anime franchise will be a two-part movie that takes place after the events of the anime, and after the release of the first film last fall, the second and final film in this project will be on the way.

Unfortunately for fans of the series outside of Japan, no international release plans have been announced for either of the free versions! Final Stroke movies. With the second movie finally coming out later this month, fans could end up seeing these films get a proper international release later this year. The series was officially described as, “Nanase Haruka likes to be in the water – I like to swim. In elementary school, Nanase Haruka, Tachibana Makoto, Matsuoka Rin, and Hazuki Nagisa attended the same swimming class together. Time passed, and Haruka was living the life of the school.” Eventless high school, he suddenly meets Rin again. Rin challenges Haruka to a race and shows him how strong he is. Soon, Makoto and Nagisa also join the group, and with a new classmate, Ryugazaki Rei, they create the swimming club at Iwatobi High School” .
