Wordle today is a rough one

Wordle players are looking for another potential line breaker. Today’s puzzle seems to be causing many players to stumble, as Word 288 X heads through the early parts of the day. We’ll look into today’s Wordle puzzle later in the article, for those looking for some hints or clues. However, if you are not done solving the puzzle yet, you may not want to scroll to the bottom of the article as we will discuss the answer at the end.

For those who have somehow lost the Wordle craze so far, the rules of the game are simple: players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word. Players receive clues based on which letters their guess shares the correct word. The letter highlighted in yellow means that the letter also appears in the correct word, but in a different letter location. A letter shaded in green means that the letter appears in the same place as the correct word.

On average, it takes Wordle players about 4 attempts to correctly guess a daily puzzle, although some puzzles can be more complex. The past week has seen a number of challenging puzzles, with broken lines found due to sharing a 4-letter word ending in several other words, and NYMPH dodging players for its lack of a traditional vowel.

So, what about Wordle today? Well, this Wordle has a common problem with many words that tend to break lines – they have two letters of the same letter. It also doesn’t help that it has two unfamiliar characters that many players won’t use while searching for some correct answers. There are also a few words that share four-letter positions with the correct answer, which can also get players stuck.

Still stuck in a Wordle puzzle today? The answer to Wordle 288 is…less.

As a side note, it seems that some players who got an alternative answer for Wordle 283 may be day by day late for Wordle answers. If you had HARRY as the answer a few days ago, be sure to check out yesterday’s answer instead.
