No Way Home Star Jacob Batalon Talks Ned Becomes Hobgoblin

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans love the relationship between Ned Leeds and Peter Parker in the Spider-Man films, especially since Jacob Batalon and Tom Holland’s real-life friendship makes it seem all the more real. Their friendship brings a lot of joy to the screen, but longtime fans of Marvel Comics are waiting to drop another shoe. In the comics, Ned becomes the evil Hobgoblin, and people wonder if the onscreen version of the character will follow the same story.

The Hobgoblin theme has become a popular topic for people to come up with with Batalon, with fans now beginning to look forward to the future of Spider-Man characters. During a recent interview with diverseBatalon remained very silent about the whole situation, not wanting to talk about anything that might get in the way of his character.

“From all my years at Marvel, I feel like I’ve learned not to say anything,” Battalon said. “I can’t talk about things and then say something that might actually be true and then screw up something, you know what I mean?”

It’s no surprise that Batalon isn’t able to say much about his future in the MCU. It’s possible that there are things he knows that he’s not allowed to spoil, but he also probably doesn’t know the future path of his character entirely at this point. The MCU evolves and changes as it is, so not many actors can speak about the future with a great deal of certainty.

But what they can talk about is the past. In the same interview, Batalon opened up about the secrets surrounding Spider-Man: There is no room for homeand how he had to try to hide the revelations of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire for so long.

“I think it was just the fear of ruining such a great surprise,” the actor said. “We all understood that it was a very important thing happening in like, not just a superhero movie, but in the cinema.” “Doing something really crazy is wild. We just wanted to make sure we keep it that way. [quiet] As much as possible so that everyone will be surprised and really like it.”
