Rob Zombie teases a full-color look at the iconic family

Rob Zombie’s principal photography continues monsters Reboot, with the director offering its first full-color look at the family of the same name on Tuesday morning. Sheri Moon Zombie’s Lily Munster can be seen pictured during a break in the set, flanked by Jeff Daniel Phillips’ and Daniel Roebuck’s Grandpa Munster’s Hermann Munster on either side.

“View of my screen,” Zombie shared early Tuesday. “Three very tired beast trying to conserve their energy between times. It’s been tough for this trio. Three hours in makeup – 14 hours filming – one hour cleaning. Then drive back to the hotel, grab a few zzz’s and head straight to the The group. It’s definitely the end of a long day here. Written and directed by Zombie, the film was shot in Budapest for six months. Despite the filmmaker’s extensive biography of challenging projects, Zombie has confirmed his take on monsters The PG version will be family friendly.

“I really hope the audience will turn away and be entertained and laugh,” Roebuck previously said of his time on the flick. “That’s all we really hope to make any movie, well, unless it’s a drama. If it goes well and people really like it, maybe we’ll get a chance to do it again. I just hope people realize they have a whole new version of The Munsters. She can live and coexist alongside the original version of The Munsters. Nobody wants to replace her, we all love her so much. We just want to highlight our approach which I think is the best way to look at it.”

The film has been officially rated PG with evidence that it will be distributed by Universal Home Entertainment, indicating that it will eventually be released as a Peacock exclusive, although no announcement has been made yet.
