Swimming with the star sharks talks about the hateful nature of their characters

In the new series The Roku Channel swimming with sharks , The audience sees two characters who show their nefarious sides, although their experiences that led them to this point elicit sympathy in the viewer. This will surely lead audiences to question their true nature, with series stars Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka also wondering how much of a negative trait their characters have as a result of their trauma they recur now or whether they are destined to display abuse and manipulation regardless of their history. All six episodes of swimming with sharks Premieres on Roku Channel on April 15th.

“I think it’s multiplying [the abuse she suffered]so far. I think that’s how she was brought up, and what she had to do to get where she was,” Krueger explained to ComicBook.com. And then I guess she’s just impatient with people who don’t have the same level of crazy perfection and dedication to the job, right? She has zero tolerance for people who lack that ambition, and that’s, I think, why she’s so drawn to the character Lou, because there’s a part of her that she sees herself in and what she’s done. That was really fun to play with, but then I also think there’s another part of her home life that she can’t control and that she feels helpless about and very weak. I think it brings a lot of things to work.”

Shipka added, “I guess that’s what I’ve been actually saying for a minute here when we were doing these interviews, and that’s why I’m associated with Lou because I think a lot of her wants and desires are natural, in that she wants to achieve success and power, she wants to feel seen and loved. And I think she also loves movies and wants to be in this world, and all of that stuff seems so innocent, but then she takes the trauma and the way it is she’s grown up and the numbers in her life — or the lack thereof, to some extent — and it just unfolds in really ugly ways. So I guess that’s her binary, is that the end goal might actually be innocent. It’s not that you’re evil in this world, but the way you get there is flawed and massively crazy, because she doesn’t know how to do it otherwise. So there’s a lot of complexity There, and I think that was part of the reason why I really liked her playing.”

swimming with sharks It was described, “The highly anticipated drama led by Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka, and from Kathleen Robertson as creator and presenter, is about the dark side of the Hollywood studio system and an assistant turns the tables on an abusive boss. We’re all in the industry, and this entire series is an intense yet intriguing case. You can’t get away from it. Filled with psychological twists and turns, the series’ suspenseful events paired with a powerful performance will have audiences on the edge of their seat. Donald Sutherland, Thomas Decker, Finn Jones, Erika Alexander, Ross Butler, and Gerardo Silasco complete the amazing cast.”
