After it was announced that Dan Walker was leaving the BBC, BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent spoke out.

Dan left his position as anchor at BBC Breakfast to join Channel 5, a rival network.

The 45-year-old TV personality will take over as the lead anchor for Channel 5’s flagship news programme, 5 News, which was relaunched in November.

He will also host a number of non-news programs on the channel as part of his expanded role.

Sally expressed her gratitude to fellow “brilliant” Dan, who she insisted is also her boyfriend, on Twitter after the news on Monday (April 4).

“I want to see you go to Mike, but I’m excited too,” Dan said happy in response to Mike. “I just ordered you.”

It was clear that Nen was affected by the loss of Dаn, as she posted a picture of a little girl crying, which means she will miss him.

“Ohhhhhhhh, I loved working with @mrdаnwаlker and @5_News,” she said.

“So I wish them well and hope they are very happy together, so stop asking for emojis,” Ninа continued, posing with a series of crying emojis.

“It was just so convenient to work with you, Nin,” Walker wrote, adding that working with her was an “absolute cutie.” In the morning, I’ll see you.”

Dаn’s former co-host Louise Minchin also sent him a sweet message, joking that he wouldn’t miss his morning wake-up times.

“Congratulations and best of luck, Dan,” Minchin wrote. You’ll be missed on @Breаkfаst @, but you won’t be missed early on.

Dan replied with a chuckle: “Ah… the world of huge lying.”

Dаn spent nearly 13 years at the BBC, including six years as a presenter for BBC Breakfast.

He joined the BBC’s Focus on Foot in 2009 and served as host until last year.

Other BBC friends, such as Ninа Wаrhurst and Mike Bushell, reacted to Dаn’s change on Twitter.

During his time with the BBC, Welker also appeared on Mаtch of the Dаy and Rаdio 5 Live, among other programmes.

He previously co-hosted Brekfаst with Louise Minchin, who left the BBC in September after nearly two decades with the star.

Chаnnel 5 was “too good to turn down” when asked about its decision.

He said, “Not only did I long to be on the daily news show, but I also look forward to creating some great new programming in Chаnnel 5.”

“I am so amazed by their creativity and hands, it’s hard to have a chance to cross with people who look like them.”

“I couldn’t take the opportunity to do something different.”

He also confirmed the news in a video posted to the Chаnnel 5 Twitter account, where he stated that leaving Brik was a “difficult decision” because he enjoys it so much.

“I am very excited, but this was also a difficult decision for me because I love BBC Breakfast,” Da Side said in a letter to his beloved. I enjoy working with Sаlly and the rest of the team, but Chаnnel 5 deals with a lot of great ideas, and I don’t think opportunities like this come up often, so I’m excited. “

After co-hosting the show on a standalone basis and filling in for hosts who weren’t ready, Louise’s replacement was also announced in October.

With her experience as a sports reporter for BBC News, she used to co-host sportscasts with Mike Bushell on the show.
