Kirby and the Forgotten Land are getting new free Nintendo Switch versions online

Kirby and the Forgotten Land Released on the Nintendo Switch last month, the game quickly established itself as a critical and commercial success. Everyone seems to love Kirby’s latest adventures, so Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will probably be thrilled with the latest batch of freebies made available from My Nintendo. A number of new icons have been added based on the game, allowing fans to turn off designs based on Kirby, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, and more. The majority will be available until May 5th, at 6PM PT, though some will only be available until next week.

This month marks the 30th anniversary of the Kirby franchise, so today’s release couldn’t come at a better time! Kirby Dreamland It was first released on the Game Boy in Japan on April 27, 1992. Since then, the character has become one of the most beloved icons of all games, starring in a number of highly regarded games. Unsurprisingly, reception of new Nintendo Switch Online codes has been so strong so far, Kirby fans are already planning to spend their platinum points to snag the new collection. Fortunately, these icons are fairly inexpensive, costing 10 points each, and 5 points each for the wallpapers.

While Kirby and the Forgotten Land Proving to be a great way for fans to celebrate the character’s anniversary, developer HAL Laboratory and Nintendo have already joked that there will be other plans to celebrate the occasion. It’s unclear if fans will hear anything else at the end of this month, but 2022 is already shaping up to be a great year for Dreamland residents!
