Although previously stated that services will resume this weekend (April 9-10), P&O Ferries has suspended it.

Since March, when the company fired 800 employees in one fell swoop that made international headlines, the company has halted all operations.

It was announced just yesterday (Thursday) that services will start this weekend.

However, the company announced today (April 8) that flights will be canceled and advised customers to book with another operator in an online update.

“All P&O Ferries Passenger services have been suspended for this weekend,” she wrote on the P&O Updates Twitter account. Please rebook with another operator before arriving at the port for travel on 8, 9 and 10 April.

“DFDS will not be able to transfer P&O customers to their services.”

The announcement may exacerbate traffic congestion near the M20 ports.

There is a huge queue to get into the port of Dover Today, the eighth day of transport turmoil in Kent.

According to KentLive, its DFDS has demonstrated that Dover to Cаlаis services can be delayed by up to two hours.

It has also been proven that P&O clients will be diverted.

DFDS Director Chris Berker stated that the ferries were run “as quickly as possible.”

More than 40,000 people are expected to travel from Dover this weekend, according to the ferry company, which is up 50% from last week.

Another 30 million drivers are expected to hit the road over the weekend in Easter.

On Good Friday alone, 13.6 million people are expected, due to traffic congestion around Dover and the M20.

The Dover maker may declare traffic a major accident.

Trevor Bartlett, president of Dover County Council, said the borough “will not tolerate another weekend of deadlock” in an open letter.

“We will be monitoring the situation closely throughout the weekend, and I would not hesitate to authorize CDC officers to declare a major accident if we see signs of the kind of crowding we saw last weekend,” Mr. Bartlett said.

If you’re planning a store, be sure to check forecasts first.

“The closure on Brinkley Corner Street is affecting major roads across Kent,” said Roe Roberts, UK country organizer for Wаze, a reputable app. Traffic reports show a standstill at Junction 7 of the A2, M2 (E) and A2 (Cаnterbury Roаd), with speeds exceeding 3 mph only.

“This has an additional impact for those looking for different routes to the Chаnnel tunnel, with the E15 Chаnnel tunnel access speed dropping to 0.6 mph.” With the weekend approaching, drivers should take extra precautions to double check their lanes.”

Huge queues and delays swept through Manchester airport earlier this week, as British passengers lost their flights due to long queues for security and check-in.
