PlayStation Accidentally Leaks A Major New Feature For The PS5 Controller

PlayStation accidentally leaked a major new feature of the PS5 DualSense controller. The PS5 console is one of the biggest selling points of the new PlayStation console. Between adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, it offers an experience you can’t get on Xbox Series X or Nintendo Switch. It’s a great console, but at the moment it’s impossible to update its firmware without access to the PS5, which is a big problem for PC gamers with the console. However, this issue seems to have finally been resolved.

With PlayStation bringing so many games to PC, it almost makes no sense that PC users can’t currently update DualSense firmware without access to the PS5. Sony hasn’t officially announced that this is changing, but a cached and now-deleted license agreement has been leaked from Sony.

Leaks and rumors

Not only does this leak mean that PC users will be able to update the PS5 console, but it also means that PC users should be able to rely on official support from now on.

For now, take everything here with caution until Sony officially announces all this information. Of course, we didn’t need this leak to know that Sony would eventually address this issue. It was inevitable, but this leak seems to be conveying word that an addition is imminent as we previously had no timetable on when to expect any of this to happen because PlayStation is moving at its own pace when it comes to things like that, and this I mean, slow.

At the time of publication, Sony has not addressed this leak in any capacity. He never comments on rumors and leaks, so we don’t expect this to change, but if it does, we’ll make sure to update the story accordingly.
