The movie is highly rumored to feature the main Marvel character as a villain and give us the new Black Panther. While nothing has been confirmed, Wakanda Forever is definitely the movie to watch thanks to director Ryan Coogler. One movie star, Angela Bassett, recently came out in praise of the director. while appearing in The Kelly Clarkson ShowBassett appreciated Coogler’s work.
The Black Panther actress said, “I give so much to our director and writer Ryan Coogler. He’s a tremendous talent, and everyone who brings him to this group.” “Everyone is in front of the camera and behind the camera, very impressive, and they give a thousand percent of their gifts. So it’s a beautiful place.”
The actress also took time to remember the late Chadwick Boseman. Bassett recounted the moment she met the actor at Howard University. She was due to receive an honorary doctorate and Bosman was her guide at school.
“Maybe about 15 years ago, I got an honorary doctorate from Howard University. So I went there, he was my guide, and he was my student mentor before anything and everything,” Bassett continued. “He was an actor there, yeah. He told me that at the opening party, at the first gig, and I was like ‘You keep the water!'” I can’t keep water! “
Not much is currently known about the plot of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as the details are kept to a minimum. The movie had to be changed after Boseman’s tragic death and fans are wondering what will happen next. In addition to being the next chapter in the Wakanda corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the sequel will also introduce another major player to the MCU with actress Dominic Thorne taking on the role of Riri Williams, aka Ironheart.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release on November 11, 2022. Ryan Coogler returns to direct the sequel and is also developing a new Marvel TV series for Disney+ that also takes place in the Wakanda universe. The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Cole, Florence Kasumba, Tenoch Huerta and Martin Freeman.
