Alexa Bliss’ absence from WWE has been a long unanswered question for months now. Bliss was originally written off TV after applying Extreme Rules last year in order to undergo surgery, then came back months later with prequel vignettes about going into therapy for her villainy and obsessive about Lily. She finally returned to work in the Judiciary Chamber in February, but has not been used on television since. Even when fans asked her why she left, the former champ was unable to provide an answer.
PWIInsiderMike Johnson recently released the internal roster for both Raw and SmackDown, which shows the male wrestlers with the highest rank on the card. Followed on Thursday by Provide internal hierarchy for women’s list in Raw, who ranked Bliss #1 alongside Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. Obviously, the list has to be taken into account as WWE’s plans change at a dime price, but seeing her still rank high on the list is a good sign.
Bliss has been working with her creepy character even after Bray Wyatt’s release by WWE in July 2021. She was positioned as a darling face for most of her career in 2021, opposing heels like Shayna Baszler, Dodrop, Eva Marie and Charlotte Flair by her hiatus.
Prior to WrestleMania 37, Bliss spoke with ComicBook about how much fun she was having developing her new character and working with Wyatt – “I’ve been saying for the past few weeks that this has been the most creative story of my life, the most fun, because there are no real limits now on what We can do it. And Benny, Bray and Randy, just get rid of all these thoughts, as if nothing is taboo and that’s what’s so fun. I like portraying characters and I like doing things out of the box and totally different.
“And the fact that a year ago, if you told me I was going to swing on a swing set, and threaten Randy Orton, I wouldn’t believe you. Or even after a match with Randy Orton, I wouldn’t believe you, but it was so much fun and I’m so happy with how it happened because we don’t know. It’s been a week since A week. We just add things and take new things and try new things. I just love where it’s going.”
