Vic-tatorship won’t be without losses in Season 7 of Fear of walking dead. Back on April 17th on AMC and AMC+, the second half of the season sees Alicia Clark (Alicia Debnam Curry) and Morgan Jones (Lenny James) waging a war against Victor Strand (Coleman Domingo) to take his tower by force. A prosperous Victor survived the sixth season’s nuclear explosions and radioactive fallout that devastated Texas by taking shelter in his tower, but Victor’s former friends are less fortunate: Alicia and Morgan’s groups are left scattered and scrambled to find Padre, a new home no one’s sure exists.
“You took a lot from me. Now I’m going to take something from you,” Alicia warned Victor to finish off the mid-season final. “I’m taking the one thing that interests you the most. I’m taking this tower.” When Victor said she wouldn’t take the tower without a fight, Alicia stated, “Then we’re going to war.”
“A lot of times wars don’t end the way you expect, and more often than not, what’s remembered are the losses,” James says. Character Book. “And I think that’s something that will resonate during the second part of season seven.”
It’s an act of war when Victor kills Weil (Joss Halper) to hurt Alicia and keep her away from the tower where Victor holds Morgan’s family and friends hostage, including Grace (Karen David) and Baby Moe. With the outbreak of Civil War in Season 7B, friends will become foes to reshape what afraid It will look like the survivors in season 8.
“Yes, there are victories, yes there are victories, but there are also big losses,” James comments. “And the shape of this family in the future will not be the same.”
At the heart of a divided family are former warrior friends Victor and Alicia, leaders on a violent collision course in the second half of Season 7. But are Alicia and Victor willing to kill each other to end the war?
“If they downsize and realize that this was their only option to survive — I honestly think we have such strong-willed humans, it is possible,” Domingo says. “Will it hurt them, break them, or turn them into something else? Maybe yes. There will be definite repercussions from it somehow.”
Domingo continues, “I think there’s always that possibility because they think they’re doing something for the common good and for humanity and for civilization and for rebuilding civilizations. And I think they’re both willing to give up that thing. It’s almost like giving up one person to take care of hundreds of others. I think they’re both willing to give up that thing. .”
Fear of walking dead Season 7 returns on Sunday, April 17, at 9:00PM EST/8c on AMC and AMC+. The first two episodes of Season 7B will be available to stream on the same night exclusively on AMC+, with subsequent episodes airing for one week early Sunday, April 24.
