Netflix’s latest high-risk drama has been rolled out to the service. Bought for you by David E. Kelly and Melissa James Gibson, Anatomy of Scandal promises to keep fans guessing until the last minute.

Spread across six one-hour episodes, Anatomy of a Scandal introduces fans to the sordid underclass of London’s elite, revealing their secrets and the lengths they’ll go to cover them.

During the show, we get an exclusive sneak peek into famous London sites. This includes The House of Commons, The Old Bailey, and even the University of Oxford. But are these famous locations where the filming actually took place? Or are there other sites for these famous sites?

Where was the autopsy filmed?

Since the show is about a disgraced Conservative politician, it’s no surprise that the principal photography for the outdoor shoot took place in central London.

However, not all filming locations are what they seem, as I mentioned before metro. What led fans to believe was The House of Commons, which was actually filmed in two different locations. The Charter House School in Surrey and the John Rylands Library in Manchester have been used to re-establish the historical landmark in British politics.

Likewise, the scenes shown accused of James Whitehouse’s college days were not actually filmed in Oxford. Instead, the prestigious boys-only public Winchester College served as an alternative center to one of England’s most distinguished universities.

Revealed: What filming locations were held?

Some fans may be shocked to find out that two of the filming locations weren’t real at all, and were instead filmed at Shepperton Studios, Surrey.

James’ house in London was one of the sites built for the purpose of the show. The luxury property was enough to arouse envy, but the building actually does not exist.

The decision to organize the house rather than shoot in real estate was partly due to covid restrictionsas using a set gave the production team more freedom to show larger family scenes.

Additionally, The Old Bailey was partially filmed on set, with some footage taken at the Freemasons’ Hall in London, highlighting the Underground. Although a fake location was used to show the courtroom scenes, the art team paid close attention to detail, writing handcrafted court documents to give the footage an authentic feel.
