Gate clerk says he wants to make a third game

outlet And Gate 2 It is often considered one of the greatest video games of all time, and much of this popularity can be attributed to the writing. Writer Erik Wolpaw has worked on games like the tool And Half-life: Alex Since then, but the only thing he really wants to work on is Portal 3. In a recent appearance on Kiwi Talkz PodcastWolpaw shared just how much he wants to return to the series, and how he wants to be able to do it before he gets “too old.”

“We gotta start Gate 3, that’s my message to you. Anything you can do, let’s do it, let’s just make it happen. Because, yeah, I’m also not getting any younger like we got to the point where it’s crazy I guess, literally you’ll be It’s too big to work on Gate 3, so we’ve got to do that,” said Woolbaugh.

Wolpaw went on to say that fans of Portal should make their pleas known to Gabe Newell, though the writer is quick to point out that he doesn’t think those pleas will help the game make it happen. However, if Newell and Valve see an interest, it certainly won’t hurt!

It has been more than 10 years since the initial release of Gate 2, so it’s understandable why Wolpaw thinks the series won’t see another sequel. This is a very long period between installments, but it is certainly not unprecedented; There have been plenty of video game franchises getting a new entry after more than a decade on the shelf. Sometimes this vacation can help the team get some rest and come up with new ideas. Wolpaw doesn’t provide any specifics on where he’d like to take Portal’s story in a new game, but he’d probably be better off keeping these ideas to himself in case the series gets another chance at life!
