Thailand has nominated mango sticky rice for its UNESCO heritage list after its viral Coachella moment.
“The department is collecting information on mango sticky rice in preparation for the UNESCO proposal,” said Chai Nakhonchai, director of the Cultural Promotion Department of Thailand.
The sweet dessert will be nominated for the proposal as part of Thailand’s “intangible cultural heritage,” Nakhonchai said.
