Mayans MC Season 4 Premiere Summary

season 4 of Mayan MC It starts exactly where season three ended. No time has ever passed – the summaries go straight to a new snapshot. Other Mayan charters are at the gates of Santo Padre in full attack mode. As the club members make their way inside, we learn that the bullet at the end of season three wasn’t shooting Bishop Taza. The conflict isn’t over, as they both spin the ground and fight over the gun, but both men start the season alive.

The opening credits offer a short hiatus from the action but the shooting picks up again when the show returns. Hank took a shot in the knee early in the fight but seems to be doing fine, at least for now. A young club member dies and the entire complex goes out of power, causing a woman hanging in the club bar to try to call the cops. Bishop smashes her phone and lets her (and viewers) know that engaging the police is forbidden, no matter how bad things get. This inaugural fight shows how much EZ has grown to become a leader within the club, as he’s the one taking the fight to other charters and everyone else continues to lead – including Bishop. On the other hand, Angel takes a more back seat, as he’s on the cusp of becoming a father. Nails, along with Angel’s unborn child, are in the club with everyone else.

It became increasingly clear with nearly every scene that Bishop was losing control of his club. He’s paranoid and makes matters worse for everyone, which works in stark opposition to EZ’s calm and controlled demeanor. On the other hand, EZ has become the one that fans hoped to stay away from in the early seasons, and this is a hard pill to swallow. It’s hard to watch his innocence disappear completely. On the other hand, it’s clearly made for this. Santo Padre wouldn’t have lasted minutes without EZ and everyone at the club knows that.

Things start to work out for Santo Padre when a woman at the bar suggests they “fight fire with fire” and throw Molotov cocktails back into the other charters, to make up for the ammunition shortage. EZ delivers a fire-attack as Creeper makes a move to the truck and slams into the gate as the enemy Maya tries to storm it, resulting in one of the most bizarre scenes in the franchise since Otto bit his tongue. The creeper, unfortunately, takes several bullets at work. It wouldn’t be surprising if Angel ended up being chased, as he was supposed to go with Creeper but stayed to protect Nails.

Here’s a nice surprise: everyone may have forgotten that two key figures were not at the club at the time of the attack. Gilly goes to rescue Coco from the mountain of drugs that held him captive at the end of season 3. They didn’t help much at first, getting hung out of the gates, but they ended up sneaking into the club. Everyone is pinned, out of his repertoire, and Bishop can’t keep himself together. All the drama begins to climax and Coco lies to the rest of the club about his drug use, claiming that his daughter was in trouble and that’s why he disappeared. The Maya rescued him outside demanding the head of EZ.

The club wanders and we get some somber and important moments from a few characters. Angel and Nails discuss what it’s like to protect their child. Hank calls his mother for what could be their last conversation. EZ scans the room and sees his family in disarray. EZ invokes Bishop’s lack of leadership, and considers who should pay for one’s sins. He yells at Kanch and takes responsibility for everything, including his son’s involvement in the explosion, and asks him to spare the others if he turns himself in. EZ goes out and introduces himself to Canche but his brothers won’t let him do it alone. They all come out behind him, together, ready to pay the price as one. They are so far behind in EZ that he is being kicked out.

Every member of the Santo Padre Pact was on its knees, ready for execution. He calls out the names of the Maya brothers who were killed as a result of Santo Padre’s actions. Just before he kills Angel, Marcus kills the gunman and makes his triumphant return to the MC Mayans. No man in the assembly dares to disrespect or disobey him, in spite of his absence. The first episode of the premiere concludes with Marcus confirming that the club is in fact still his property.

Episode 2 begins with a dangerous time jump, as it moves four months into the future after the battle. Nils and Angel are happier than ever, as they prepare for the eventual arrival of their child. Bishop was demoted to Vice President and Marcus regained his position on the Mayans throne, changing the entire MC dynamic.

There are a lot of new faces around the table in Santo Padre, and there are many charters in town for a big meeting. One of those new faces belongs to a character named Manny, played by Good Girls alum Manny Montana, who is a standout character this season (he was seen briefly in the first episode, fighting with EZ on the roof and getting stabbed, apparently he’s fine now). Kansch and Nadi Yuma were in charge of the pipeline with Galindo out of the way, clearly not up to par with the Santo Padre members, who feel like they’re starved of any business. Alvarez has stopped working. Mane approaches EZ to try and fix things between them and their clubs. It’s hard to know how this relationship will play out over the course of the season, Mane may prove to be an important friend and ally to EZ, or a serious threat. Bishop still holds a lot of hate for Yuma’s charter, and some club members say they have it. EZ isn’t quite sure, thinking of the Maya as a whole more than the specific Santo Padre charter. Felipe makes his debut this season, trying to talk EZ into his trailer but is completely ignored. He left a note for EZ which was given to him by “someone who came looking for” EZ at home.

There was a lot of talk about the war between the Mayans and the Sons of Anarchy in Season 4, and the Sons finally came here. The Charter of San Bernardino talks about the loss of Montez (we know he died) and a possible battle with the Maya. Some members want to fight, and the president doesn’t agree. It is an unresolved issue.

Time linked the brother with EZ and Angel. They differ on how to treat their father, but they are actually in a great place with each other. EZ encourages Angel to forget his past, specifically the child he had with Adelita. Coco is still dealing with his problems (convinced he can handle things) but Gilly is still far from solving the problem. Both are under surveillance, and we know that Gilly has done nothing but save Coco’s life.

Looks like there will be a dog this season. EZ heads to an animal shelter and falls in love with an abandoned pitbull, as well as a woman who works there. A bartender leaves the club after being mocked by members of the Yuta charter, and eventually finds a mysterious container outside, surrounded by butterflies. We don’t see what’s inside yet, but based on its reaction, the corpse appears to be the most likely charge.

At a recovery meeting from addicts (which Coco was invited to but declined), Creeper revealed his soul about his problems in what he was asked to do for the club. After the meeting, he was approached by a woman who understood his feelings better than others. There is definitely something there. Coco’s girlfriend and daughter seem ready for a breakthrough, but the latter is not ready to tolerate the former for feeding her father’s addiction. At the club, Taz tries to fix it with Bishop but the VP doesn’t have it, and tells his ex-boyfriend that “some false sense of loyalty” is the only reason he’s still alive.

As the vice president of the San Bernardino SOA Charter plots a move against the Maya, her sister’s former bartender reveals that she’s found something, but the public remains unsure as to what exactly it is. Hank shows up to Alvarez’s house (middle of one of the show’s most touching moments to date) and we know he’s working directly with his boss to report where club members are standing. They both know Bishop could become a serious problem, and he tells Hank Alvarez that the club “needs” him to be whole again.

While playing his new dog (who’s instantly the best character on this or any other show), EZ finally opens the note his dad left. He flashes back to his time in prison where he worked with the leader of a Latina gang inside to stay protected. This appears to be the source of the message.

Nearly two hours into season 4 we finally have a vision of Emily! She works at a restaurant, rides a bus, lives in a cheap apartment, and tries her best to start a new life without Miguel. This regular montage begins at the end of the episode, and checks in with characters like Taza, Coco and Angel, all trying to move past the past in their own ways. As it turns out, the waiter’s sister used to date a SOA vice president who was hunting for the Mayans. What I found in the barrel turned out to be a kutte, most likely a Montez king. The war is coming.

New episodes of Mayan MC It broadcasts on Forex on Tuesday nights. It will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu the morning after the broadcast.
